Sophie Wood-Hart
Sophie Wood-Hart has sixteen years experience in early childhood edication and she likes to believe she knows what young children enjoy reading. Not only children, but parents and educators too! She enjoyed studying her Diploma of Children’s Services and Bachelor of Early Childhood Education over 13 years ago. Sophie has spent her career educating young minds in Kindergartens and Early Learning Centres. In 2023 she became a Mum for the first time, this being her greatest achievement yet. Sophie is honoured to share the creation of this book with her own fabulous mother Jenny. She hopes you enjoy it!
Jenny Wood
Jenny is an artist and illustrator from Safety Beach on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. She has a passion for quirky, whimsical and classical fine art as well as a ceramic sculpture. Just like Ruby, the imperfections in Jenny’s art make her work unique, adding character and distinguishing it from digitally created artwork. Jenny has illustrated 12 children’s books and numerous book covers for adult novels. She brings characters to life using hand drawn methods with pencil, ink and watercolour. Jenny is cheerfully dancing with joy at opportunity to illustrate this book, written by her daughter Sophie.
